Columns ?

Here I will show you how to create columns into your text area. You will see, it's not that difficult…

Here is the code

You will have to create divs ; one for the weight of the total of your columns (here 800px) tat wraps all the other divs, on div by column. Something like :
< div style='width: 800px;'> The div who wrap everything

< div style='float: left; width: 240px; margin-right: 40px;'>

YOUR TEXT

< /div> The div of the first column, 240 pixels of width and a right-margin of 40px to not glue to the next column

< div style='float: left; width: 240px; margin-right: 40px;'>

YOUR TEXT

< /div> The second div for the second column

< div style='float: left; width: 240px; >

YOUR TEXT

< /div> The third

< div style='clear: left;'>< /div> Just a "clear" to say "after this you start again as normal

< /div> End of the fist div, the one who wraps all the rest

Don't forget to erase the spaces after the opening brakets. I put it there to show the code.
And, as explained here by Vaska, "in your text area you can add div and h tags all you want but you need to give them room to allow other things to be autowrapped in p and br tags."
You can obviously set the number of columns you wants, width and margins as well… When you understand how it works, you can do what you want.
